To be considered for the Live Through Dreams Founders Grant, we’re excited to support founders who meet these criteria:
- You must lead a business that is at least 51% Black-owned, reflecting the strength and creativity of our community.
- You must have a business plan or working draft of plan
- Your business should have been active for at least 1 year but no more than 5 years as of August 1, 2024, showing your commitment and progress as a founder.
- Your business needs to be headquartered within the fifty states of the U.S. (excluding Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands, and other commonwealths, territories, and possessions), ensuring we reach diverse entrepreneurial journeys across the nation.
- All founders must be at least 21 years old at the time of submission.
- Your business should have annual sales of less than $50,000, giving emerging founders the support they need to advance.
- You need to have a clear and compelling value proposition with demonstrated sales, showcasing your unique product or service and its impact.

Are there any restrictions on how the grant can be used?
Businesses must only use the grant dollars towards manufacturing, marketing and branding, and research and development.

Yes, applications will close at 11:59 PM EST on September 4th, 2024.
How will finalists be notified?

When will I receive the grant funds?
Grant funds will be awarded after winners are notified.
Is there any expectations in exchange for winning this grant prize?
No, there are no expectations of equity stake, or otherwise. This is a non-dilutive funding opportunity.
Is this grant prize subject to taxation?
It may be subject to local taxation. Payment of all and any taxes in relation to the grant prize is the sole responsibility to the award winner. Please consult your tax professional.
